Animal of the Week

Just a common BulBul (Pycnonotus barbatus)

The "big five" mentality also affects the more seasoned environmentalists, to which category I count myself. Looking for the most exotic, almost extinct, rarest species. Like "the big five" tourist will miss the incredible "ant lion" I forget the daily delight of the most vocal bird at Pugu, the common bulbul. Like the sparrow in Europe, the bulbul still frequences around the human habitats. You may not be aware of the bulbul but his/her song may sound familiar (click on link for sound)
