The Pugu Hills Nature Centre is 10 km beyond the airport and can be reached by car within 40 minutes from town but with unfortunate timing of the trip it may take much longer.

We advise to avoid the rush hours which are building up from 15:00 pm onwards. Saturday and Sunday mornings are the quietest spells and our general advise is:"the earlier the better" (especially for the hikers).

Pugu Hills has a restaurant and a (nature) pool.

If it is too hot to visit the Pugu Forest Reserve, you can still enjoy the 1 KM Nature Trail on the Pugu Hills premises.

In case you do not have enough time for roaming around in the Pugu Forest Reserve you can also hike outside the Forest or visit the cattle market for all hikes an "Ahsante" for the guide is expected in the range of 5USD upwards depending on the size of your group and length of the hike.

The 6-a-side football field can be used but we will need to know in time in case the pit was taking over by nature since the last match.

All visitors of the Pugu Hills Nature Centre make a booking in advance. Please use our booking link specifying the date and number of guest you will bring and possible special plans you may have with your visit.

All day visitors pay an entrance fee of 5,000 tsh (including children) for which you can use the Centre's facilities.
